Royal Purple: Part II Dara Bitler October 28, 2015 Features, The Wabash Line If you’re at all like me, then you’re probably a little sleepy today, running on pure adrenaline! Last year I told you how I bleed Royal Purple. It’s an equal combination of both Wildcat and Royals blood. Last night was one of the best Royals games that I’ve ever watched. One thing I’ve learned from being a Royals fan is that winning should be enjoyed to the fullest extent. There was a time when not long ago that things were so much different for the Royals. Being a Royals fan was absolutely miserable; I mean honestly, there were a few seasons where we lost 100 games. YIKES. But, when you’re a real fan of something that means you’re there all the time, not just every other game or every other season. This K-State football season has been really hard to watch. But, as a fan, I’m still going to do it. I love K-State unconditionally. Things are going to get better but there isn’t a timetable on when that will happen and that’s what makes it so hard. Sometimes I think I’m a crazy fan; even during the most brutal losses, I always try to find some glimmer of hope. So for now, that’s exactly what we have to do, we have to find a glimmer of hope in our team and hold onto it! Giving up isn’t an option. The biggest thing I’ve learned as a Royals and K-State fan is that you always have to believe! On this bye week, I hope you can find a glimmer of hope for this team. And, find a little extra for the Royals! Just like the Royals, things can get better! BRING ON THE CATS!
