Right on Kimball: K-State vs Nebraska-Omaha Zach Newman December 2, 2014 Features, Right on Kimball It was a shaky start, but the Wildcats got a much needed blowout win over the Mavericks of Nebraska-Omaha. Nino Williams and Marcus Foster lead the way to a 84-66 win. What I liked Nino baby! The guy just went off tonight. From the first 5 points and an early block, to nailing a 3-pointer. He did it all tonight, including rebound. Malek Harris played his best game of the season tonight. His rebounding was fantastic, and he showed some glimpses of offense that should get the Wildcat fans excited about the future. After struggling early, the Wildcats finished strong in the first half. They took a 6 point lead and never looked back. Edwards showed some life tonight. He started to look like the player we all had heard he was. Jevon Thomas dropped two silky 3-pointers tonight. His shot is so improved from last season, it’s ridiculous. What I didn’t This one started off slow for the Cats. Turnovers and poor shooting summed up the early part of the first half. Marcus Foster was far too quiet early. Luckily for the Wildcats, he went bananas the rest of the way. Gipson and Hurt both collected 2 fouls a piece in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half. That’s something this team’s big men will not be able to do come Big 12 play. Next up for K-State is a trip to Tennessee on Saturday. The Wildcats need to prove that they can take their show on the road and beat a quality opponent. This Saturday is the perfect opportunity for just that.
