Episode 138 Superlatives TheSalute October 9, 2014 Overtime, Superlatives Listen to Episode Krause: Discipline The Salute Hall of Fame Mark Krause (2011-2013) Ok, so we don’t usually put a punter in the Hall of Fame, but there aren’t exactly a lot of athletes that have worn number 38 at K-State, and in his lone season as the starting punter at K-State, Mark Krause did a fantastic job. K-Staters aren’t used to having to worry about the punter, and Krause was no exception. The transfer from Missouri Southern patiently waited out his turn and then had a good 41.4 yards/punt average throughout his senior year. EMAWard The EMAWard is driven by Manhattan Motors There was no shortage of options for the EMAWard this week. Travis Green and Morgan Burns each had 2 huge interceptions. Tyler Lockett and Curry Sexton each had 2 huge touchdowns (and that catch!). But when it comes down to it, Jake Waters had a special sort of night. Not only did he throw for 290 yards and 4 TDs, but he also ran for 105 yards and 1 TD. All due respect to Tyler and Curry (and it’s a lot!), someone had to get the ball to them to make it happen, and Jake Waters had a career sort of game. Congratulations Jake! #KState Tweet of the Week If Bill Snyder really wants to twerk the Big XII, he should wear a #Royals windbreaker with the 1985 World Series logo. #TakeTheCrown #EMAW — Buck Ringgold (@BR_TimesRecord) October 6, 2014 See a tweet worthy of #KState Tweet of the Week? Overall Mike (aka PurpleCat) remains in the lead for the season long contest by two picks. NFL: Zach Glover (zlove33) took over 1st place overall this week with an impressive 13 of 15 correct games picked. He now leads the overall contest by 2 picks. Survival: We restarted one last time (hopefully!) and everyone who made a pick moved on. You can still sign up to join the college pick’em or NFL pick’em. Find the info here.
