Another name in the great walk-on tradition of K-State football, Blake Seiler transferred from the wrestling program at Oklahoma State and was a major contributor on defense, playing in every game during his senior season.

Not only did he earn a degree in mechanical engineering while he was at K-State, he was consistently on the Academic All-Big 12 team. He spent two years as a grad assistant, and since January 2013 has served as an assistant coach on Bill Snyder’s staff.

Passing: 16/19 for 239 yards | 8.2 yds/c | 0 int
Rushing: 20 carries for 138 yards | 6.9 yd/carry | 2 TDs

It was an easy choice this week. There were several stand out players, but it was Jake Waters that took the team on his back and willed K-State to victory. He showed leadership that hasn’t been seen as overtly as it was on Saturday. And how about that rushing? With 138 yards rushing, not only was he the leading rusher in the game, but he out-rushed Iowa State’s leading rusher by 100 yards!

And don’t forget that game winning touchdown run. Congratulations, Jake.
