Oh, and how Okie State gets a jump for what they did to West Virginia (who remains my #2 in the league). I've got the Cats at 5th, but win on Saturday and they'll keep moving up my rankings. Depending on how things play out the rest of the way, I think K-State has a ceiling of 3rd and a basement we won't mention.Oklahoma finally takes their place back at the top this week, for me. No more undefeated teams in the Big 12, and oh how far TCU has fallen. Among the mess that is the Big 12, the Wildcats have an opportunity to emerge from the chaos. A conference championship all but went out the window with the loss to WVU, but finishing near the top of the conference is still in their control. Here's to the Wildcats dropping the Cowboys like a bad habit, and continuing their march up the Big 12 rankings. What a wild week! Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Baylor can't close out Texas, West Virginia is handed their first loss in Stillwater and TCU gets upended in OT by Texas Tech. The only constant in this conference is Kansas and Iowa State losing every single week. So I threw this group into a hat and pulled out schools one by one and this is what I came up with.I'm curious if WVU will fall far now. In the pre-season I struggled to picture them as a 9-win team, but to this point they tell me otherwise. Baylor, still really don't know how to feel about them, but I do know I feel good about K-State's chances in Ft. Worth. Quietly, I think the Pokes are working their way back up and may be a better representative of the second best team in this conference, but they have to make it out of Manhattan, Kansas before I can believe that.Created with WP Rankings Plugin.
