Close your eyes. If you’re not in Manhattan, pretend you are.

It’s Saturday morning, the stadium is empty. There’s no sound and the air is still.

Flash-forward, it’s 6:00. A large crowd is pouring into the stadium, music is blasting through the speakers. The countdown is on; the clock shows 10:00. In that moment, there’s no place I’d rather be. Standing there, on the steps with my family, cheering for my family.

Wow! It seems like just last week I was writing about the end of basketball season. Now, out of no where, we’re back in business. Football is finally here! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

We can study the team, research the stats, and make predictions. But really, all that’s left is a trip to the 50 yard line to kick a football. Boom! That’s when it begins. I get the chills just thinking about it!

Normally, I like making predictions. But this year, something feels different. I’m going to go with my gut and say that this season is going to be one for the books, mark my words! There will be bumps and bruises along the way, but it’s how you rise up when you’re faced with adversity.

It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up. -Vince Lombardi

I will never be able to predict the outcome of this season but man, I can’t wait for the ride!
